Maybe its because of the fact that often people tell me I look like them (which I don't really think I do), or because they also happen to share a birthday on the 13th of a month (my birthday is on the 13th as well as my brother's and my cousin's), but I've always felt slightly connected to them. They have long been style icons for me, and I feel like they have always been ahead of the mark on trends. It only makes sense that growing up having designer clothing tailored to their tiny frames, that they grew accustomed to fine clothing and were able to experiment with style from a young age. I remember years and years ago, Ashley Olsen was photographed in Toronto wearing a pair of UGG boots and a dress. The caption mocked her, and readers were horrified by this style choice (rightfully so, in my opinion as I've never liked UGGs ). My point is however, that this was a good three years before anyone began wearing the boots that have since become a staple in any Uptown girl's wardrobe. The girls have long since moved on from the trend. I made note of this and began to follow their style. Time and time again, they would wear something (Ray Ban Wayfarers or chunky gold watches for example), and about 2 to 3 years later these items would become major trends and the girls would move on leaving followers in their fashionable dust. It doesn't surprise me then that the Olsen twins have become major players in the fashion design world with their luxury brand The Row. They are true fashion innovators and have refined their personal as well as design style to a very sophisticated level.

I wholeheartedly agree with everything expressed.
I'll be honest, I wasn't a fan at first. However, after their transition into fashion, Ive come to adore them! I think the line is beautiful and I think they are geniuses.
I was recently in Nordstrom Rack in Dallas, Texas and I found a full rack of ElizabethandJames. I about had a fashion heart attack. My friend and aunt and mother were all in confusion as to why I was squealing over this brand. I couldnt help it. Everything was brilliant. :] Maybe one day Ill actually be able to afford it. ;p
