Versatile Blogger Award



An enormous thank you to Yevgeniya Yelkina from Hypnotic Fascination for giving me the versatile blogger award!! (along with 6 other great blogs). See her post here. I genuinely think that her blog is amazing; always up to date and constantly pushing the envelope with inspiring photos and personal style posts. I was extremely excited when I saw that she had mentioned my blog for the award. Just the fact that anyone at all is reading it blows my mind!

I like the idea of the Versatile Blogger Award; here`s how it works:

7 Facts about myself:

(1) While I spent most of my life in Toronto, and now live in Montreal, I was actually born in a little oil town in Alberta called Fort McMurray.
(2) My ethnic background is half Chinese and half British.
(3) My brother, my cousin and myself were all born on the 13th of different months, and I have a tattoo of a tiny 13 on my wrist.
(4) I`m a fashion designer and painter.
(5) I`m a flower child at heart, and sometimes feel that I belong in the late 60s/early 70s.
(6) I will beat your largest friend in an eating contest.
(7) I get a little too excited about avocados.

Love At First Blush

I first posted about Love at First Blush back in October when I reviewed Montreal's Puces Pop. Sabrina Chin, the designer behind the brand has been hard at work since then. She happens to be a friend of mine so when she asked me to help her out by modeling some of her new pieces along with my other friends, of course i said yes! We had such a fun day of photoshooting. Self Made


I met the designers behind the cool Montreal brand Self Made at a Puces Pop event. They were really nice and chatted with me while i was completely mesmerized by their incredible rings. I finally decided on one, but vowed to come back for more. They have an online shop where they have a few of their rings up for sale along with a bunch of other accessories and cool t-shirts. They had a tonne of other rings at the sale which aren't on the website (i hope they post them soon!) But they also take appointments if you happen to live in Montreal. Here are just a few of their rings:

Alexander

Well I've been blogging in anticipation of this album for quite some time now. And Here it is: Alexander: Alexander Ebert's self titled solo album. I'm still giving it a few rounds of listening, but so far i like it. I once questioned his legitimacy as an artist (and hippie), but he seems to be proving himself quite nicely. I've heard he recorded the entire album on his own and played all of the instruments himself.

Kate Moss for Longchamp - surprisingly impressed

I'm REALLY not a fan of the traditional Longchamp bags, but I have to admit I'm kind of liking this Kate Moss for Longchamp collection. I think its more the campaign video "Faraway" that I love more than the actual bags. It is sooo mode.mange.musique, i just couldn't resist. Tambourines and Nancy Sinatra? whats not to like?
