Maison Michel

Maison Michel hats, distinguishable by the discrete "M" on the band are a favourite among fashion week goers and fashion bloggers alike. I've noticed them a lot lately around the blogosphere, but I have to admit, I didn't know very much about the brand before this post.

 After spending a good twenty minutes on the gorgeous Maison Michel Website, I feel much more in the know now. The brand is actually owned by Chanel and was founded by August Michel in 1936. The house was made famous by creating many of the hats for Haute Couture shows in Paris in the '80s. Today Maison Michel creates hats, accessories and headpieces for their ready to wear collections, private clients, Haute Couture clients as well as commercial clients such as Disneyland, theatre and opera houses.
