Isak & Inger
Mariel Gonzalez is another example (see the post below about Dana) of one of those super creative and talented people I went to fashion school with. She has created a beautiful line of accessories called Isak and Inger featuring beautiful statment necklaces, sweater knit/leather mittens, hand made bags and more. She uses recycled materials whenever possible. Check out her full product offering here.

Magiela Sweatshirt Bag
I'm not usually one for gimmiky design, but this one's so cleaver and cute I can't help but love it:

The Row Bags
In terms of my decorating style, I've always been more of a maximalist. While minimal home interiors always appeal to me, they just don't work with my messy eclectic style. When it comes to fashion though, I've always dressed more on the minimal side...I have no problem disguising my inner hoarder when it comes to clothes and accessories. This is why i love these bags from The Row so much! The Olsen girls debuted their sleek bag collection at Barney's in New York earlier this month. I have a feeling these "anti-it" bags will ironically make their way to "it" status.

Maison Michel
Maison Michel hats, distinguishable by the discrete "M" on the band are a favourite among fashion week goers and fashion bloggers alike. I've noticed them a lot lately around the blogosphere, but I have to admit, I didn't know very much about the brand before this post.

All Choked Up
{photo - 5 inch and up}

{Photo - a fashion affair-}
I remember when I was about six, my mum made me a little black velvet choker with a cameo button at the front that fastened together with velcro. I would wear it with my favourite floral dress and definitely thought i was on the cutting edge of fashion. Nine years later and my old look sounds pretty current again....Chokers are back in a big way, but this time they are more sleek, modern and industrial looking than my velvet number (although i definitely would still sport it if i had it). Elin Kling recently offered her signature look metal choker as part of her Elin Kling x H&M line this past year - unfortunately the line wasn't out in Canada :( . Elin and Style bloggers alike have been getting all choked up lately.

Stay in the Light

Stay in the Light headbands were spotted all around Coachella. I would love to get my hands on one of these for the Osheaga Festival!
